About the Scholarship Project
Behind every successful student is a phenomenal teacher. At Fetterman & Associates, PA we want to honor these dedicated professionals by showcasing their talents and achievements while helping college-bound high school seniors finance the cost of higher education.
THE FETTERMAN & ASSOCIATES, PA SCHOLARSHIP PROJECT gives $1,000 scholarships to five high school seniors entering college next year. To enter, each student must write an essay describing his or her most influential teacher. We will begin accepting applications September 22, 2015.
From there, we select five winners to receive $1,000 scholarships. In addition, the teachers featured in the five winning essays will each receive a new tablet.
Winners will be selected by The Fetterman & Associates, PA Scholarship Project or its designees.
How to Enter
High school seniors interested in participating in the Fetterman & Associates, PA Scholarship Project must submit an application and an essay by midnight on March 15, 2016.
To be eligible, students must be in grade 12 at a high school located in the following counties: Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Okeechobee, or Indian River. Student applicants must also be able to show they have applied for admission to at least one college or university and that they will matriculate in fall 2016.
Essay Requirements
Essays must be original work on the subject: “My Most Influential Teacher”. Essays should describe how a teacher influenced the student’s life. Word count limits for each essay are no fewer than 500 words and no greater than 1,000 words.
Essays should be formatted as follows: 12-point font or less, with 1.5-inch margins, and double-spaced.
